Soybeans can be used for feed, food and technical purposes. Soybeans are used to make sauces, milk, cheese, confectionery, sausages, food flour, coffee surrogates, etc. Soybeans are the leading crop in global agriculture and rank fourth in terms of acreage, behind only wheat, rice and corn. 

Soybeans are an important industrial crop. It ranks first in the global production of edible vegetable oil. As a fodder crop, soybeans are used for green fodder, haylage, grass flour, silage (mixed with corn), and mono-fodder.
